Meet Recap

The Fairfield high Falcons hosted their Cross country meet yesterday evening at Rockville Hills Park where the girls varsity team had a great performance being lead by junior Jessica Singh. Singh was not only the first girls falcon runner to finish but also the first varsity girls runner to finish bringing in her first 1st place finish at a SCAC league meet. Singh ran a smart and patient race, running in second place for the first 2 miles and jumping to the lead in the last mile to finish 1st with a time of 22:01. Our second falcon finisher was Kelly Cordova, who despite a nasty fall was able to continue her race and hold on to an 8th place finish with a time of 25:20. Cordova was followed by Ellon Perkins who has been a great addition to our team this year, she was our third falcon finisher and 22nd varsity girls finisher with a time of 32:39. Alyssa Chidester finished in 24th place(36:08), Tanya Gallardo 25th (36:10) and Jasmine Ornelas 26th (36:56). As a team the varsity girls falcons took 4th place with 68 point, putting them only 4 points behind American Canyon in third place with 64 points.
